3-Peat for Flynn!

Congratulations to Flynn on winning their third swimming carnival in a row!

The competition was pretty close all day with all factions producing race winners and medalists. The super efforts from our swimmers made us all proud, as many pushed themselves to attempt races they hadn’t participated in before. The enthusiasm and support shown for each other’s performances was heartening, as was the great support from all parents and grandparents in attendance.

The final scores were:

Flynn 339, Canning 281, Magdlen 236, Luemmen 220.

Canning took out the Bonus Points Shield, mostly due to the many Green parents who volunteered to help out during the day. Magdlen were certainly the best at cheering on the day!

Individual Champs and Runners-up:

Yr 4 Champions: Joseph Kelleher and Imogen Watters

Yr 4 R/UP: Deacon Hollow and Chloe Taylor

Yr 5 Champions: Nathan Watters and Charissa Kheng

Yr 5 R/UP: Ashton Fung and Sienna Lilly

Yr 6 Champions: Michael McFerrin and Isabella Alves-Veira

Yr 6 R/UP: Matthew Radojkovich and Summer McCann

Inter-school training will commence in week 8 – a note will follow.

A huge than you to the many parents for coming along to support this event, and for getting behind all our swimmers. Thank you especially to the parents who place judged, timed and helped in the water. If you took some photos today and would like to share them, please email them to ross.bridgeman@cewa.edu.au.

Our teachers once again were a great support and resource to rely upon – thank you!

And to the students at Queen of Apostles, who challenged themselves to try, improve and do great things today – you are AWESOME!
